About the Mural Artist

Three years after receiving her BFA from Siena Heights College, Caren relocated to central Illinois and began working as an Interior Designer. Although she enjoyed working with people and seeing the process from start to finish, she decided to form her own picture-framing company for more flexibility as she was starting her family.

It was through her contacts in both lines of work that she decided to launch her career as a mural artist and form Inside Look Designs (for Murals Gallery click here). "I always thought that doing something I enjoy this much for a living would take the enjoyment out of it," Caren says, "but fortunately I become so involved in my work that everything else seems to just disappear."

Whether it's an artistic mural, custom mural, wall mural, sky mural, landscape mural, church mural, school mural, or kids mural, Caren looks at each new job as a new challenge and adventure. She says, "Much of what I've learned comes from saying 'Yes' to those projects I've never done before. I just send up some prayers and see what happens!"
